Xero is great bookkeeping software which allows you to keep up to date accounting records.
We get a large number of requests via our Support page, from people who are struggling to reconcile their bank accounts in Xero. Here is our guide on some of the main problems and fixes.
Check that you really are reconciled
Sometimes it looks like your bank account is reconciled as you’ve coded all your transactions - but Xero has messages saying otherwise. So first, let's see if you really are reconciled.
Go to Accounting / Reports / All Reports / Accounting section / Bank Reconciliation Summary. Enter the date and choose a bank account. You might see one or more of the following line items:
