GST at Beany
At the start of the month your GST return is due, you'll get an email from us reminding you to reconcile your Xero file. We'll send a couple more reminders as the due date approaches.
After reconciling Xero, log into your Beany account and click "I've reconciled this" on your dashboard. This notifies our accountants to begin reviewing your GST return for accuracy.
Once processed (usually within 3 working days), we’ll email you when it’s ready for review. Log in to find the return on your home page. If everything looks good, click "approve" and we’ll file it with the IRD.
Paying your GST
If you owe GST, you'll need to make a payment to the IRD via internet banking. Our software, checks your myIR account to ensure what we filed matches what the IRD says you owe. We’ll also remind you a few days before payment is due if it hasn't been made.
Spam
Occasionally, overly strict spam filters may catch our emails. If you haven't received our reminders, please check your spam folder to avoid missing important updates.
