The Covid Support Payment is different from the Covid Wage subsidies and Resurgence Payments, and needs to be treated slightly differently.
To record the amount received in Xero, create a new "Other Income" code in Xero called "Covid Support Payment". The money coming in should be reconciled to this code and will be included in taxable income. The expense(s) associated with it can be claimed as a tax deduction.
GST must be declared on the amount received.
